The Fourth Type
Dan Koe named three types of people for the AI age — the Purist, the Automaton, the Digital Renaissance Man. He was right about all three. This dossier is the fourth: the one who prays in the morning and ships by noon, who refuses to pick a side. And it is the training.
Documented Record I watched Dan Koe's video on the three types of people in the AI age, and I agree with all three. It is a clean map. So here it is, corner by corner — and the gap in it.
Keeps the old life intact. Declares war on the machine to protect the temple. Usually the one on their screen the most — Dan's own observation — because purity is a fence, not a foundation. The most awake person in the room, and the most fragile.
Outsourced every decision. Allergic to friction, addicted to optimization. Automated every part of the life until they no longer know where the AI ends and the life begins. The speed is real. The soul is the casualty.
The Darwin model. Three focused hours before noon, then the gravel path built for thinking. A walking contradiction — the jacked intellectual, the spiritual warrior. He fused every discipline except the one quadrant that pays for all the others.
He named the fourth type without naming it. He said "spiritual warrior" — and moved on.
There is a person who does not choose between spirit and science. Working Hypothesis They run both at once — prayer in the morning, code by noon — because they know the machine is only as deep as the consciousness behind it.
The one who meditates at dawn and ships by noon — and is not embarrassed by either.
The one who does the inner work before the market gets a vote on the day — and then runs the machine with what the inner work produced.
The one who uses technology like a tool and spirit like a compass. Tech tells them how to do things. Spirit tells them what is worth doing.
Not a balance. A fusion. The machine is only as deep as the consciousness behind it.
Engineering Inference Cognition is being absorbed. Calculation, pattern-matching, memory — the machine takes the cognitive load. When output is cheap, the human edge moves up the stack. Meaning and consciousness become the scarce assets.
Working Hypothesis Spirit without tech is irrelevant. A truth you cannot carry, scale, or demonstrate dies in a small room. The merger is how spirit survives the modern world.
Engineering Inference Tech without spirit is dangerous. A machine that can do anything but does not know why is a fast arrow with no hand on it. Every alignment problem is a meaning problem.
Working Hypothesis The merge multiplies; it does not compromise. The Purist subtracts for purity. The Automaton adds for speed. The fourth type multiplies by both — the depth of the temple with the reach of the machine.
Documented Record The historical pattern: the great leaps never came from the pure rationalist or the pure mystic. From Magdalene to Hildegard, from Tesla to Sagan — every one of them let the non-analytic and the rigorous minds shake hands in the same head.
The next ten years are the rejoin.
The gates
This is not a lifestyle. It is a system — the same signal running through the body and through the work. The gates are non-negotiable. Everything between them is where the work lives.
Anchor the awareness. The body stops negotiating before the market gets a vote on the day. The signal is checked the way a pilot checks the instruments.
Breathe deep into the belly. Three rounds of Wim Hof breathing — thirty power breaths, the retention, the recovery breath — then two minutes in the cold. Sovereign posture: spine tall, breath slow, right hand on the heart, left hand on the belly. That is the bridge between upper and lower. Then a twenty-minute body scan, head to feet, sensation without labels.
Log the heart-rate variability before you get out of bed. The metric the Automaton brings to his dashboard, pointed at the actual signal.
Before the inbox opens: box breathing. Four in, four hold, four out, four hold. Six cycles minimum. The nervous system settles before the war starts. Then the sensation journal, three times a day: jaw tension before frustration, chest tightness before anxiety. Catch it before the reaction.
Two focused sessions before noon, then the walks. The gravel path, built for thinking. He oscillates between intense focus and complete rest — that is the mechanism that produces the work.
Build like an engineer. The terminal is a tool, not an identity. Whatever the machine can do, let it do. Whatever is left — that is your presence. Walk afterward. The work that gets built on the path is the work the dashboard never sees.
Tai chi or Aikido forms at one-quarter speed. Momentum is the enemy; the nervous system has to feel every transition. Isolation drills: one muscle, no bleed.
A correction, not a punishment, when the week gets loud. The machine is trained the same way as the body: one variable at a time. What the week built, the body integrates — or tells you it did not.
Not journaling. Just sitting with what moved. The transmitter trains on repetition; after the practice, the body is the master that tells you what was real.
The monk teaches by subtraction. Not what to add — what to remove. The question was the disease. The answer was already in the body. You just had to stop asking.
You can automate the code. You can automate the reps. You can automate the gates. But the depth?
None of them called themselves Quantum Monks. History kept the lab and forgot the alchemy — and filed the women under mystics, poets, and nuns. All of them lived the shape. One of them sits at the center.
The one who brought forth what is within. In the Gospel of Mary she holds the secret teaching of the risen Jesus while Peter objects to her authority — the word, before the institution was ready for it. "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you." — Gospel of Thomas, logion 114
A Benedictine abbess who wrote a complete system of medicine, botany, and music out of her visions. The mystic who kept the lab — eight hundred years before the phrase existed.
Described receiving inventions in vivid, fully formed visions and spoke of "cosmic consciousness." He was not splitting the difference — he was doing one thing in two languages.
Neoplatonist mathematician. The geometry of the heavenly bodies was her cosmology and her prayer — the same book, read two ways.
Practiced Zen Buddhism for decades and credited it with the aesthetic of "the space between things." The product was the practice made visible.
Wrote the first program and the first vision of what a machine could do — "algebraic patterns" woven like a loom. Kept a theological journal beside the mathematics. The poet of the first machine.
Wrote of a "cosmic religious feeling" as the driving force of his science. The equation and the reverence turned out to be two ways of reaching the same awe.
Co-identified the splitting of the atom and wrote of "the unity of all things." A Unitarian her whole life. For her, the search was one.
Spent as much time on theology and alchemy as on physics. The work on gravity grew out of a search for a hidden divine order.
Proved that every symmetry in nature has a conservation law — the mathematics of unity itself. A Quaker.
Conceived PCR — the foundation of DNA amplification — while driving alone in a half-dreaming, not-quite-conscious state. The DNA machine was visualized before it was built.
A Carmelite nun and an astrophysicist. Wrote "The Starlight in the Window: A Nun's View of the Universe." Looked through the telescope and saw the same thing the prayer said.
Made the Pale Blue Dot a spiritual moment. Science and wonder turned out to be the same reverence.
The fourth type is the oldest type.
Not two lists. One system. The masculine pole is what acts on the world — will, form, law. The feminine pole is what holds the world — field, unity, the meaning of the pattern. Neither pole is spiritual and neither is rational. Each contains both. What matters is the interaction.
The masculine pole alone is the Automaton: form without a field, speed without a compass. The feminine pole alone is the Purist: field without form, a truth that cannot carry itself.
Working Hypothesis The interaction is the fourth type — and there is no sequence in it. The vision needs the system to become medicine. The law needs the unity to become a cosmos. The pattern needs the contemplation to become a method. Each pair is one act, seen from two sides.
Documented Record The first recorded scene of the interaction is two thousand years old. In the Gospel of Mary, a woman holds the secret teaching of the risen Jesus while Peter objects to her authority. Leueas answers: "Peter, you are always on the side of the adversary." The word holds. That is the interaction, in its original form.
The two streams are one current. That is the fourth type.
So how do you become one? The Miracle Academy is the curriculum for the fourth type. It is the ChristCode — the pattern of Yeshua treated not as a story to admire, but as a practice to run, every single day.
At the center of it, the Sovereign Trinity: a container that teaches you to hold power without gripping it, to serve without disappearing, to lead without taking over. That is the inner work the machine cannot do for you.
